But, the recent work did by the company, during COVID-19 made the company deserving for the nomination for SCB Apada Prabandhan Puraskar is:
“COVID-19 Awareness and Sanitizer Distribution Campaign”
The COVID-19 epidemic has made the country stand still. The govt. is fighting at all levels to prevent the public from this deadly virus. The precautions are the only way to prevent us from this highly communicable disease. The awareness, social distancing, use of face mask and Hand Sanitizer was the only way to prevent the COVID-19, because as such till date, there is no availability of defined treatment or vaccination.
Since, the directors of the company hails from a rural background, so they are well aware of the fact that it is normally difficult for anything (policies, budget etc.) to reach to the villages (the bottom of the pyramid). So, the management decided to make a campaign exclusively for SAFAI Karamcharis, Security Personnel and Health Workers working in small villages.
With the help of its employees, who were willing to work voluntarily and fearlessly for this ambitious project, they selected about 100 districts of mainly U.P., M.P. and Bihar and other places, where its volunteers were ready and willing to work selflessly and courteously.
A letter was written to all such district administration to allow the movement of volunteers with sanitizer, poster etc. The volunteers were given training and advised to follow the SOP and adhere to the norms of the lock-down, strictly as prescribed.
The magnitude of the campaign
More than 94 volunteers worked in 90 Districts of U.P., M.P., Bihar and also in other states. They distributed more than 1,18,000 Hand Sanitizers, to about 80 thousand Karamcharis (COVID warriors) at 1351 towns / villages and spread awareness for prevention from COVID-19 (Annexure-10).
They clicked photo with more than 150 important persons / VIPs of the area. The local newspapers and channels appreciated the campaign whole heartedly and more than 250 newspapers and 6 local T.V. Channels, covered this campaign (Annexure-6a,6b and 7).
The campaign was done fearlessly with full precautions and with due permission from the local authorities in the month of April and May 2020, during peak lockdown period, that too, without outside financial support.
This award will encourage the company and its management to do even much more in times to come for our beloved country.
Precedence / Innovation
To educate the people working in small-villages, was a big challenge, because they are less-educated and placed at the bottom of the pyramid.
This is an original work, perhaps never done by any organisation, in such a fearful and panic situation where chances of catching infection was quiet high.
Scale of work
During lockdown, we have worked in 647 villages of U.P., 262 of M.P., 424 of Bihar and more than 18 places in other states like, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra etc. In totality, we covered more than 1350 villages of the country.
Geographically, it may be regarded as National Campaign.
Impact / Sustainability
The work was done exclusively to prevent and educate SAFAI Karamcharis against the epidemic of COVID-19. The work will sustain at least till the effect of COVID-19 continues.
Peer Recognition
Mr. Ramesh Chand Jain, Director, PharmaSynth, has worked remarkably well in-spite of all odds of lockdown to arrange the required stock of Sanitizers, Posters, Pamphlets, etc. to make this campaign successful. It is also to be indicated that, most of the employees have worked as volunteer, especially Arjun Gupta, Anmol, N.K. Bhatt and Santosh are few to name. They supplied the stock from Delhi to various states and districts to the volunteers, who worked hard and fearlessly with full personal protection. They distributed and educated SAFAI Karamcharis, Police and Health-workers with due permission and passes issued by various authorities.
